Initial Catering Services is a joint venture between the Rentokil Initial Group and the Rezayat Group. It was formed in 1991 to support its sister companies in a market which was moving towards facilities management in the UK. Since then, Initial has not only established itself as a significant player within the business and industry sector ( its Autograph Foodservice division), but has also become the largest provider of school meals throughout the UK.

Initial Catering Services has four specialist divisions:

• State Education

  This division provides a school meals service to a large number of state schools throughout the country.

• Business and Industry

  Named Autograph Foodservice, this division operates a bespoke service for a number of well known blue chip companies, industrial sites and training centres.

• Independent and Further Education

  Operating in over 150 independent schools and colleges, this division has developed a unique service proposition for this growing market.

• Hospital Services

  Working in partnership with its sister company, Initial Hospital Services, catering and other services are provided to a number of hospitals across the UK.
