The Lamnalco Group, with its International corporate headquarters currently located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, has some 40 years experience in offshore marine services, SPM operations and maintenance, harbour towage, terminal and petroleum ports management, ship-to-ship transfers and the design, construction and operation of specialised vessels to support these activities. The Lamnalco Group of companies commenced activities in the UAE in 1963, and currently owns and operates a fleet of over 80 modern, multipurpose vessels, located throughout the Middle East and West Africa. The Group handles over 3,000 tanker berthings annually, providing port management, tanker inspection, pilotage and loading, berthing/unberthing, dive support, fire fighting, pollution control and marine services at 27 different crude oil, liquid gas, refined products and bulk harbours, ports and terminals worldwide, servicing over 40 berths.

Lamnalco also enjoys a joint venture with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), formerly known as the Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Company (ADPPOC), the Irshad company provides total management and operation of numerous harbours, ports and terminals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Through its extensive presence in the industry, the Lamnalco Group has created an impressive support structure that includes a first class ships agency and crewchange division, marine surveying, pilotage, Ship to ship transfers, vessel chartering, brokerage, freight project forwarding, and oilfield supply base activities, all recognised worldwide.

QA, safety, environmental protection and national training

Lamnalco Group has welcomed the introduction of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and the International Quality Standard ISO 9002 into shipping and marine related industries, and has made significant commitments to health, safety, environment and quality in its management systems. Formal certification to ISO 9002 was achieved in 1996, and certification to the ISM Code in 1999. The requirements of the ISM Code do not apply to some sections of the Lamnalco fleet. However, a policy decision has been taken to apply the high standards across the fleet regardless of the size of the vessel.

Lamnalco is totally committed to safety and quality. Whilst recognising that its management systems are flexible in structure, additional safety procedures required by a client are included as an integral part of the overall management system. Wherever Lamnalco Group operates worldwide, minimal environmental impact is of paramount importance. Lamnalco endeavours through everyday operations and its long term contracts, to protect the people and the environment.

Lamnalco has an enviable success record in national training in all regions where the Group is active. In the Middle East, Lamnalco has over 80% Omani content in its Mina Al Fahal operations and in excess of 90% Nigerian employees in its substantial terminal contracts in offshore Nigeria. Throughout the Middle East and West Africa, Lamnalco has extensively employed, developed and trained nationals from the host country.
